Diane Gaddy-Timmons

Diane Gaddy-Timmons, age 69 of Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018. Diane was born June 19, 1949 in Lilesville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Isaac and Lillie Bell Johnson. According to Diane’s birth certificate her name is Lutricia Dryanna Johnson, but she preferred Diane.

Diane attended Henry Groove High School, Lilesville, North Carolina and Livingston College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Diane met and married George Kenneth Gaddy, her first love. They eloped and moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1968 and a year later on April 13, 1969, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter that they named Sabrina Diane Gaddy.

Diane has always believed in putting God first and accomplished goals that she set for herself. She was initially a homemaker and later decided that she wanted a career even though George disagreed with his wife working. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Goldberg Elementary School from 1973-1974. In 1975 Diane started her property management career with Management Systems, Inc., a Detroit based firm.

After leaving Management Systems, Inc. in 19894, Diane co-founded and co-owned Anchor Management, a Detroit based property management firm. She served a Vice President and Secretary until 1995. She then decided to sell her ownership in Anchor Management and form her own business as Timmons Management Company that specialize in all phases of property management. Diane leaves a legacy of always striving to tailor services to meet the needs of her clients. Diane continued to operate her business until her passing.

Diane was preceded in death by her late husband George Kenneth Gaddy. Sometime after his death, she met and married Javion Timmons. They later divorced but always remained great friends.

To cherish her memory, Diane leaves her daughter; Sabrina Gaddy-Bollinger, son-in-law; Paul Bollinger, three step grandchildren; Brett, Zachary and Brittany, four step great-grandchildren; Jaelynn, McKenzie, Dominic and Raelynn, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Diane was a Christian woman of insurmountable faith. She would ask God for guidance in every aspect of her life and would encourage all to, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”. Matthew 6:33
